RINGLEFINCH

A stomping good-time alternative folk band with touches of flamenco, gypsy jazz and epic harmony, Ringlefinch are currently recording their hotly anticipated debut EP with BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee Ben Walker as producer. The EP will be released in late spring 2014, accompanying a spring and summer of festival appearances and gigs across London and the south-eastt

Dark-humoured, wittily introspective lyrics set to upbeat, quirky earworm tunes.

The toe-tapping rhythms of swing and jazz manouche – but with a thoroughly folk sensibility.

An exciting, rabble-rousing live show, peppered with moments of subtle beauty.

This is one musical casserole that’s far greater – far more tasty and compelling – than the sum of its ingredients.
Description
Ringlefinch are a London based alternative folk band with an eye for mischief, an ear
for an earworm, and a beat for your feet! Their unique sound blends the strong melodies and storytelling of folk music, the toe-tapping rhythms of swing and jazz manouche, and dark-humoured, wittily introspective lyrics to create rabble-rousing songs with moments of genuine tenderness.

“A stomping good-time folky band with touches of flamenco, gypsy jazz and swing” – Softly Softly

TOM HYATT

Tom Hyatt is a London-based singer, songwriter and artist from Lancashire, England. Personally universal lyrics and a dynamic live delivery craft memorable performances both online and onstage.

“sophistication and aplomb which is incredibly rare in performers of such a relatively youthful age… one of the most intelligent, relevant singer-songwriters in the country”

– Louder Than War

Hyatt’s forthright writing style was honed in the folk-rooms of Oxford, emerging with the open-minded musicality of John Martyn and the vocal force of Van Morrison. His captivating live presence has seen him connect in intimate shows such as Danny Boyle’s Shuffle Festival, and hold his own on national tours with the likes of post-punk legends The Three Johns.
